WELCOME TO THE J-BAR-M
WESTERN GUEST RANCH
AND HORSEMANSHIP CAMP

HARRIMAN, TENNESSEE

ACTIVITIES AT OR NEAR THE RANCH

******

At the J-BAR-M Ranch
The main activities are cowboy activities such as riding horses on trails, horseback games (barrel racing, pole bending, flag racings, obstacle courses, etc.), roping (calves if we have 'em, or calf dummies if we don't), shooting cowboy guns (single action pistols, lever action rifles, and double barreled shotguns), and mounted shooting (shooting blank ammunition at balloons from the back of a horse.) When the Saloon is finished, you can play cards, shoot at the piano player (just kidding), play ping pong, pool, and just "hang out" around the "town". Kids may want to wade in the creek, swim in the little swimmin' hole, go tubing on the creek (if there is enough water in it), or catch minnows and crawdads. If we get it finished in time for the 2009 season, there will be a cable slide and an obstacle course.
Non-cowboy type activites at the ranch include pasture baseball, basketball, hiking (including map and compass courses), archery, and leather crafts.
